A very entertaining phrasebook - ...It does have a few useful phrases but the real aim of the book is to be amusing about situations you may find yourself in or expressions you might hear whilst in Italy. It succeeds: example 1: a good selection of insults! example 2: question to Customs Officer: What are the rubber gloves and torch for, officer?
Subversive phrase book - Certainly not a phrase book to rely on, but full of those phrases you could really need - how to compliment the quality of the olive oil, a prayer to find a parkin place, a letter of apology to her father.I have lent this book to Italian friends to check the quality and they were most impressed - though one of them kept it so I need to order another copy.
